ABSTRACT

At high stress, or GS in the nanocrystalline range (d = 10-100 nm), the microstructure may include partial dislocations, stacking faults, and twins; see, for example, Figs. 6.13 and 6.14 in Chapter 6, by Lu and Lu. To be noted in Fig. 1.1 is that GS hardening occurs in regimes I and II and GS softening in regime III.
