Introduction to linear models

This chapter considers one of the most important problems in Statistics, the

modeling of a random variable affected by other variables. The scope is intro-

ductory since it deserves at least one whole book to be considered in depth. A

complete approach to the subject can be found in books such as Draper and

Smith (1966) and Broemeling (1985).
