ABSTRACT
This chapter is about vector spaces, which are certain sets of n-dimensional vectors. The material in this chapter is theoretical-concepts, definitions, and theorems. We discuss algorithmic issues in Chapter 5, and then return at length to applications in Chapters 6 and 7.
