ABSTRACT
There are numerous studies on SiC nanoparticles. These studies
are incited by the potential use of such particles as fluorescent
labels for biological systems. Here, we focus on original very small
systems that are less commented and for which the surface atoms
are so important as to lead to a significant rehybridization and hence
hollow or cage-like structures.
