ABSTRACT

Virtual organ computer-aided analysis is a Three-dimensional software that facilitates calculation of the volume of a specific area under study. Once a volume is acquired and displayed in either the multiplanar mode or in a rendered mode, several tools may be utilized to enhance the final images and facilitate the retrieval and evaluation of challenging areas. The electronic scalpel, MagiCut, is one of the most useful tools, allowing the sonologist to sculpt away and remove any structures that may be obscuring the area of interest. OmniView is a versatile slicing tool that allows slicing along any direction in a straight line or a curvilinear line. This may be accomplished utilizing various thicknesses, giving access to specific difficult-to-reach areas. SonoAVC is a specific volume calculation software that identifies several small echolucent areas and color codes them in order to distinguish them from one another.
