ABSTRACT
In November 1987, the IEEE Directors approved an addition to the Code of Ethics which states that a member shall make no statement that he or she “knows to be false concerning the IEEE, or the qualifications, integrity, or professional reputa tion, or employment of another member or employee.” A second portion states that a member shall “neither injure, nor attempt to injure maliciously or falsely, the professional reputation or employment of another member or employee.”
