ABSTRACT
Identify Applicable Regulations The healthcare industry is consistently changing, whether it is advances in technology for devices, electronic health records, or healthcare organization payment frameworks. All of these changes pose challenges for healthcare organizations and professionals to ensure they comply with changing regulatory requirements for not only the country they live in; depending on the organization’s role, regulatory requirements of other international countries may need to be considered. In addition to the complications of the international regulatory environment, there are other requirements and standards for industry technology, information types, or codes of ethics that may need to be taken into account, as illustrated in Figure 2.1.
