ABSTRACT
Lichen planus (LP) is a distinctive dermatosis of skin and mucous membranes. It can be localized or widespread and tends to run a prolonged course. Rarely, LP may be associated with hepatitis B and C. Although the onset may be insidious, LP not uncommonly presents as a widespread eruption of sudden onset.
