ABSTRACT

ROSELLINIA ROT, caused by Rosellinia bunodes (Berk. & Br.) Sacc., appears to be more important on taros than on tannias (1).

SOUR ROT of taros has been reported from the southern USA (3) and from India, the causal organism being Geotrichum candidum (page 288). Control of most of these diseases is probably aided by efficient curing of corms after harvest, and the use of a protective chemical dip if subsequent cool storage is unavailable (1).
