ABSTRACT
This chapter presents different forms of photonic crystal microcavities, photonic crystal microlasers, dynamic properties of photonic crystal microlasers, current-injection photonic crystal microlasers, and photonic crystal microcavities for sensing and cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). The chapter also focuses on the progress in photonic crystal microcavities and lasers in which light confinement is of wavelength scale.
