ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we further investigate higher-order GSEs with varying coefficients. It is pointed out that the results for GSEs with invariant coefficient matrices, which are treated in Chapters 4 and 5, naturally hold for GSEs with varying coefficients, but the varying property of the coefficients does add a great difficulty and complexity in the computation of the polynomial matrices satisfying the corresponding generalized RCFs or DPEs. However, like the results in Chapter 6, for fully actuated GSEs with varying coefficients, it is shown that these polynomial matrices can be immediately obtained. Hence, general solutions to fully actuated GSEs with varying coefficients can be immediately written out.
