ABSTRACT
The warehousing and storage of goods and materials is a necessary part of the logistical process. Logistics managers may reduce the number of warehouses and the amount of storage space required through the controlled deployment of inventory and the skillful management of production schedules. The need to warehouse, however, cannot be totally eliminated from logistical systems.
