ABSTRACT
The advances of nanotechnology led to the development of innovative materials and domestic and industrial applications within distinct areas such as medicine, textiles and cosmetics production, military, semiconductors industry, display and optical technologies, food industry, and environmental remediation, namely soil remediation (Karn et al. 2009; Crane and Scott 2012).
