ABSTRACT
Relief valves, sequence valves, counterbalance valves, and unloading valves have one thing in common: They are normally closed and open a flow through the valve as they function in their normal pattern. The major difference is in the drain and pilot function. All will suffer from contamination in the oil, improper pilot source, inadequate pilot source, and improper drain facilities.
