ABSTRACT
The methods for synthesis of AuNPs has been refined and improved over the years and in addition to spherical nanoparticles in sizes ranging from a few nanometers up to about 250 nm, protocols for obtaining other shapes, including cubes, rods and prisms, have also been developed. A more elaborate description of methods for synthesis of gold nanoparticles can be found elsewhere [9].
