ABSTRACT
If you go back to Chapter 1 of this book, you will find that we had written the equations for the dynamics of the airplane in the longitudinal plane. These were written in terms of V and γ (Equations 1.5a and b) and θ (Equation 1.6). Then, we had identified a fast timescale T1 (the pitch timescale) at which θ varies and a slower timescale T2 (the heave timescale) at which the dynamics in the variables V and γ takes place.
