ABSTRACT

A 53-year-old woman saw her primary care physician for follow-up of treatment of hypercholesterolemia after she had relocated to a different part of the country. She gave a diagnosis of having ‘high cholesterol’ since the age of 41. Her hypercholesterolemia was treated only after she suffered a myocardial infarction a year later. For her coronary disease she underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) to repair two blood vessels.Three years after her CABG she needed single vessel coronary stenting.
