ABSTRACT

An outline of gross error elimination method for one- and multi-dimensional variables, focusing on the reliability field tests is presented. The rule of multi-stage procedure for gross errors verification is shown in two versions: the elimination and the correction one. The methodology for the correlation version of the method adapted for the reliability tests is described in the paper. The results of study for five basic distribution functions used as the mathematical models for these investigations are also presented. The method allows to eliminate the influence of gross errors and to determine their values within the accepted limits.
