ABSTRACT
Abstract-Adhesion and tribological properties of titanium nitride (TiN), titanium carbonitride (TiCN) and diamond-like carbon (DLC) films, prepared by vapour deposition techniques, were studied. The coatings were deposited on steel substrates. The results show that hardness of the substrate affects greatly both adhesion and wear resistance.
