DepartmentofchemicalkineticswasestablishedonchemicalfacultyofBashkirStateUniversityin1969duetoinitiativeofprofessorsN.M.EmanuelandN.N.Semenov.Oneofoutstanding specialistsinthefieldofchemicalkineticsDoctorofchemicalsciencesProfessorE.T.Denisovwas appointedheadofthisdepartment.In1979Departmentofchemicalkineticswastransformedinto DepartmentofPhysicalchemistry,andin1992intoDepartmentofphysicalchemistryandchemical ecology.
