ABSTRACT
Professor Nikolai M. Emanuel was organizer and permanent leader of laboratory of oxidation of organic compounds in liquid phase. Works on this theme represented the novel grade in scientific life of the Institute of Chemical Physics of USSR Academy of Sciences, since the main investigations in the Institute were connected with gas-phase and solid-phase reactions. Group of young scientists in majority recent graduates of Department of chemical kinetics of MSU was singled out in the structure of this laboratory in sixties of the past century the leadership of which was committed to N.M. Emanuel's follower A.B. Gagarina.
