ABSTRACT
At the beginning of seventies N.M. Emanuel posed the following problem: to give formallykinetic description of processes of liquid-phase oxidation of organic substances [2, 3]. On model hydrocarbons of various classes collaborators of laboratory under the direction of N.M. Emanuel and A.B. Gagarina carried out experimental investigations and obtained kinetic equations describing the main characteristic of process: hydrocarbon conswnption, oxygen absorption, accwnulation of intermediate products, radicals initiation and particularities of chains termination up to deep conversion degrees [3-8]. The author of this Chapter studied polyene hydrocarbons in particular ~ carotene which kinetic particularities of oxidation were studied in the framework of general conception [4, 5, 9, 10].
