Heworkedasassociatescientistandpost-graduatestudentofLeningradinstituteof chemicalphysicsofAcademyofSciencesUSSR. Onthe23dofJune,1941N.M.Emanuelwasmobilizedanddirectedtofront-line forcestoseparaterifleregimentNo.163(Leningradfront)asmilitarytechnicianof thesecondrange.InNovemberafterthedemobilizationfromarmyhearrivedin KazantotheplaceofInstituteofchemicalphysicsASUSSRforparticipationin scientificworkondefencetheme.
