ABSTRACT
In exploration of base-metal ore deposits, research of seismic method is a very difficult subject. The research was begun with analysis of seismic wave theory and model experiment of the complex wave field and then combined with seismic experiment work of Zouping copper ore deposit in Shandong province. This paper discusses the methods of data acquisition and processing as well as comprehensive interpretations adopted in the research. The results show that mineralization and geological structures can be detected using multi-fold seismic reflection method, while heterogeneity of media related to non-regular copper bearing rocks can be investigated using seismic scattering wave field.
