ABSTRACT
This patient presented in 1978 because of difficult asthma. At that stage he was 25 years old. He had normal spirometry with an FEV1/FVC of 3.15/5.35 L. He had symptoms of nocturnal wheeze and intermittent severe asthma attacks. He was found to have strong skin reactions to house dust mite, grass pollen and cats.
