ABSTRACT
After World War II, the applications of ultrasound dramatically changed its direction to avoid a tragedy: medical applications. Subsequent development of the instruments made it available to use higher frequency of ultrasound with shorter pulse durations. These reœnements resulted in œner resolution to detect smaller targets. The development of high input impedance ampliœers enabled to improve the sensitivity and stability of signals.
