ABSTRACT
A bioreactor for cell culture refers to the specifi c artifi cial environment supporting cellular viability, differentiation, expansion, and functions. In order to reach this goal, the bioreactor typically provides a supporting structure to cell adhesion, an effi cient source of nutrients and specifi c molecular signals provided by cytokines, growth factors etc., and wellcontrolled culture conditions with respect to possible time-variant factors.
