ABSTRACT
Response surface methodology Full-factorial and fractional-factorial designs, as discussed in Chapter 2, are useful for factor screening. Usually, after the critical factors are identified, we must then optimize the process further. That is, we must find the optimal factor settings to enhance process performance. This chapter briefly explains how the response surface methodology (RSM) can be used for process optimization.
