ABSTRACT

A physical model is proposed for the interpretation of peculiar ac-

impedance spectroscopy diagrams obtained with transition metal

oxides based electrodes in the presence of lithium salts (LiClO4,

LiBF4, LiAsF6, or LiPF6) dissolved in organic solvents (PC, EC, DMC,

etc.). This model is based on the principle of an adsorption of the

electroactive species onto the surface of the electrodes. It can explain

most of the numerous distorted plots reported in the literature and

its reliability is also discussed by performing other complementary

experiments.
