ABSTRACT
As far as in 19th century Delaunay and Hill noticed that averaging along the solution of a degenerate system in celestial mechanics problems provided results that corresponded to real phenomena. The contribution to Delaunay’s theory made by Tissarand formed the conceptual background of the new methods of celestial mechanics developed by Poincare´.
