ABSTRACT
Hypoalbuminaemia Albumin comprises 75-80% of normal plasma colloid oncotic pressure and 50% of protein content. Albumin can transport various substances, including ions, bilirubin, fatty acids, metals, hormones and exogenous drugs. In hypoalbuminaemia, transport of all of these can be affected.
