ABSTRACT
A 9-year-old boy presents with swelling of his face, legs and scrotum. He has been treated for iron deficiency anaemia over the last three years. He is pale, lethargic and had a distended abdomen.There is no history of diarrhoea or blood or mucus in his stool. Both parents are from Albania and there are no similar problems in the rest of the family.
