ABSTRACT
In the following, a study of related work about space models as well as the inherent metrics is undertaken. This is done for the purpose of showing the impact a chosen structure of space model might have on the type of metrics, operators and perhaps, logic. The study focuses on the related work on measuring semantic word and concept similarity as provided by the classifi cation of the implementation methods. Another focal point is related work concerning measurement of word and concept similarity with agnostic, statistical methods. This contrasts with the work on measuring semantic relatedness of words and concepts, in that no semantic network of words or concepts exists. This technique applies mostly to text mining, words and concepts clustering methods.
