ABSTRACT

Communication is an active process but one that can easily be ignored in daily life. Although we may acknowledge its importance, especially within our personal and social lives, it is not something that most of us tend to analyse deeply most of the time. It is only when communication becomes difficult for some reason, such as when travelling abroad and not being able to speak or understand the language, or when something goes wrong with a close relationship, that our minds focus more keenly on the importance and intricacies of communicating with others.
