ABSTRACT
Trainee paediatricians already foster the two most important skills that are required to make genetic diagnoses: family history taking and competence in clinical examination. These skills are also essential for correct interpretation of all genetic laboratory tests that are employed to investigate all types of genetic disease (Figure 3.1).
