ABSTRACT
Two of the most challenging situations that can be encountered during the administration of general anaesthesia are anaphylaxis and malignant hyperthermia (MH). Both are life threatening, especially if not diagnosed or if inadequately treated. Recognition of and management of susceptible patients are also important.
