ABSTRACT
In this chapter individual lesions are described and illustrated and the diagnostic significance of each is evaluated. However, a single abnormal feature is rarely of specific significance on its own and our purpose is to provide a series of diagnostic signposts – the parts that go to make up the whole. Subsequent chapters are more conventional in style and deal with the specific disease entities which can be considered the sum of the individual changes described in this chapter.
