ABSTRACT

Tumors of the liver are uncommon in infants and children; in newborns they account for 2.0-5.9% of all solid benign and malignant tumors.1-3 Common hepatic tumors in the first 3 months of life are hemangiomas and hemangioendotheliomas, but hepatoblastomas and hepatic mesenchymal hamartomas are also encountered. However, other liver tumors are extremely rare.
