ABSTRACT
For the treatment of duplex system ureteroceles, three surgical options are available:
• Heminephrectomy with partial or total ureterectomy, allowing the ureterocele to collapse.
• Total correction, which consists of ureterocele enucleation – including detrusor muscle reconstruction – ureteral reimplantation of the lower pole ureter and upper heminephroureterectomy.
