ABSTRACT
Emergency vascular surgery services encompass a wide variety of disorders, including aortic aneurysm disease, acute lower limb ischaemia, symptomatic carotid occlusive disease and vascular trauma, to name but a few. The variety of disorders encountered in the emergency rooms of hospitals in the USA necessitates familiarity with evaluation and management of vascular disorders in order that the patient can be cared for expeditiously.
