ABSTRACT
Upper limb venous thrombosis (ULVT) is fairly uncommon. It is estimated to represent 1-3 per cent of recognised deep vein thromboses.1-3 Cases of ULVT are divided into primary, when no certain explanation for development of the thrombosis of the axillary/subclavian vein is found, and secondary, when an obvious factor has caused the development.
