ABSTRACT
The general idea of dimensionality reduction is to transform vectors from a higher dimensional space to a lower dimensional space. The main objective of this transformation is to preserve the properties of the original space as far as possible, the most important of them being the distance between two objects. A common term that is also used to describe such transformations is embedding.
