ABSTRACT
Air distribution systems usually comprise an air handling unit or fan coil unit that supplies air-conditioned air (treated air) to users through a network of conduits (usually rigid metallic ducts) feeding the air to terminal outlets such as grilles, diffusers, etc. Alternatively, air can be supplied from merely a supply fan that discharges air to ventilate a space; air is similarly conveyed through ducts to terminals.
