ABSTRACT
As mentioned above, polymorphism has not yet been detected in almost half the periodic table of elements, including refractory transition metals of the fifth (V, Nb, Ta), sixth (Cr, Mo, W), seventh (Tc, Re) and eighth (Ru, Os, Rh, Ir, Ni, Pd, Pt) groups. It is of great interest to clarify the possibility of polymorphism of these elements under pressure.
