ABSTRACT

The business outcomes being targeted and expected by stakeholders have to be established. Key value indicators that would validate the realization (or lack thereof) of business outcomes need to be identified. High due diligence and precision are necessary in determining the value metrics supporting the key value indicators. In Chapter 3, the program management life cycle detailed in the book was mapped to the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) third edition of the Standard for Program Management (2013a). Some of the topics expounded in this chapter pertain to the benefits management domain in the PMI standard.
