ABSTRACT
Given the importance of the problem of cancer in the elderly, an international effort is needed to address this question. The goal of this chapter will be to address two questions related to this issue: (a) To what extent are older cancer patient populations comparable between different areas in the world? and (b) What is presently done as a research in various countries, and what could be done to obtain a broad transferability of the results?
