ABSTRACT

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common benign human neoplasm. Most men will live to an age where they have an 88% chance of developing histologic BPH and a more than 50% chance of being symptomatic from benign prostatic obstruction (BPO).1 BPH seldom reduces the duration of a man’s life, but it may impact heavily on his quality of life and on those closest to him.
