ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we concentrate on the vibrations of beams on an elastic foundation, with attendant results that are surprising, at first glance. We also discuss closed-form solutions for vibrations of inhomogeneous beams with elastic springs at the ends, namely a rotational spring or a translational one.
