ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the vibration of inhomogeneous beams under various boundary conditions. Associated aspects of stochastic analysis are also elucidated. Specifically, an infinite number of closed-form solutions is reported for both the free vibrations and reliabilities of vibrating beams. It is demonstrated that the stochastic beams may share deterministic vibration frequencies.
