I. INTRODUCTION One of the essential differences between instruction and other forms of communication is that instruction includes a mechanism to determine if the student is learning.
A classroom instructor informally assesses learner comprehension by asking questions and looking for signs of confusion and boredom on the faces of the students. More formally, tests or activities are used to measure learning.
